SoftCopy is a file transfer tool, which allows you to transfer files and folders from one PC to another PC through Parallel Cable / LAN Crossover Cable / Network LAN.

The PC from which data (files and folders) are to be transferred is a Source PC. The PC to which data (files and folders) are to be transferred is a Destination PC.

If you are not able to establish the connection between two PCs, check the following conditions:

  • The drives of the source PC should be shared as C$, D$ etc. with full rights.
  • The destination PC should refer to the source PC exactly by the same name as its identification name.
  • Direct Cable Connection Service should be established in both source and destination PCs.
  • Run conmgr.exe in source PC and then run softcopy in destination
